when? where? who? why?
Nowadays, ecological awareness is growing more & more. Almost everyone try to experiment a soft mobility: reducing useless transportation, sharing their car, go biking... but the most important soft mobility remains WALKING. Walking is by far the mobility that emits the least CO2. And with Walk & Save, we mainly propose to our users to discover what quantity of CO2 they saved by choosing to walk rather than using any other means of transportation. We permit them to MEASURE their positive impact.
for whom?
We target mostly people living and working in quite big cities, that is to say people aware of environmental issues and soft mobility related solutions. In such big cities, public transport is widely used but there are also ways for people to walk. Even if the gentrification triggered a lot of workers to live outside city center, there are lots of flats located in central areas, and companies headquarters tend to relocate downtown. The other advantage of targeting people working in big city centers is that they mostly do not know well the city. They may have been transferred here because their employers decided so.
what? how?
The first service consists in city maps, where some top points of view,
remarkable monuments, will be highlighted and explained. The idea is to
help discovering the city, even with small information you would have no
idea otherwise ! But a lot of applications can make that, we have to see
bigger.
The second service is also informational oriented, as the user will see
how much CO2 he saved by walking, instead of using public transport. For
example he will have a notification saying “you saved XXX energy, which
is the amount of CO2 produced by a car in X hours, etc..”
Eventually, we want to give some rewards to the users, so that they keep
using our app. Once the user exceed a certain amount of CO2 spared, the
reward can consist in little vouchers (=coupons) that the user can spend
on partners. Such reward will be indexed: the more CO2 is spared, the
bigger the reward.
Pick images to describe the universe around your service (context,
users, places, techs, …) and name your service accordingly.
Don't try to illustrate the final service that you may have in mind but
instead its context.

WeWard is one of the few applications that permit to earn money while
walking. Here is how it works :
Weward permits to its users to earn a fictive money - the Wards - and
converting this money in euros. They can also access promotion sales
and earn some Wards for every euro spent. The application also
promotes real sites (likes shops, museums, monuments, etc.) and if
they go to these sites they earn more Wards; so it promotes walking
and also dynamizes local businesses.
The link between our application Walk & Save and Weward is the
promotion of walking and the encouragement to go & see certain real
sites. But as far as we are concerned, we won't offer a fictive money
to our users as Weward does but we will permit our users to unlock -
once they saved a determined amount of CO2 - vouchers they can spend
in local businesses.
Adidas running is one of the numerous sport applications. It is very
complete. You can save, analyse and even share your activities,
statistics & performances.
The link with our application Walk & Save is that it promotes walking
but not only. Indeed, Adidas running - and other sport applications -
are obviously sport-centered whereas we want to promote walking for
the good it represents for our body, our health but also for the
planet.

Between climate change, air pollution and health crisis, or even economic crisis, what if the bicycle was the answer to everyone's well-being?
As humans use the planet's resources more and more rapidly, the challenges of climate change and reducing gas emissions are becoming more and more pressing. In addition, the use of cars in France and Europe is becoming commonplace, both on short and long journeys. There is no longer any need to bring the bicycle up to date. Indeed, mainly in urban areas, the bicycle has once again become a popular means of transportation, whose merits are no longer to be praised. Thus the Bike to Bike application is part of a context where the use of bicycles has become more and more popular and where users are trying to get away from their usual means of travel. The current health context is also very important to take into account. With the Coronavirus crisis, curfews and bans on long trips, people have focused on strolls and short trips. Thus the use of bicycles is on the rise, especially since it is not mandatory to wear a mask during physical activity.
On vacation, in your city or simply for a ride, you will find the bike that suits you on Bike to Bike!
The potential targets are very diverse, indeed this application makes it possible to reach both city dwellers and rural dwellers. As for the age groups, almost all are affected apart from children and the over-aged. Likewise, the majority of social classes are affected because, whatever the financial means of the people, it is always useful to be able to borrow a bicycle, by doing, at the same time, an ecological act.
Simple and fast, in a few clicks, rent your bike near you for a ride in the city or countryside!
Through the Bike to Bike smartphone application, it is possible for each user to rent or rent one or more bikes, adding all possible information, such as: location, make and model of the bike, condition of the bike, desired rental time, possible pick-up times, rental price, available equipment (such as helmets, gloves, protections, ...). The application provides a guarantee to each user, whether a renter or an owner, with a payment via the application, which makes the rental free and secure.
Reduce CO2 emissions, save money, avoid traffic jams, or enjoy a walk with your family, move easily on vacation, ...
